Our mission is to nurture creativity, foster artistic growth, and cultivate a deep admiration for the beauty and grace of horses. We strive to make equine photography as accessible as possible, welcoming photographers at all skill levels to explore their passion for capturing the essence of horses.

Our Vision: Creative Partnership

Founded by equine art curator and coach Joyce Ter Horst and photographer Arnd Bronkhorst, Equo Academy provides a space for photographers to collectively explore their artistic vision. Our aim is to encourage photographers to capture the beauty and essence of horses through their camera lens.

Equo Equine Photo Award 2025

We are thrilled to launch Equo Academy with an exclusive annual photo competition tailor-made for equine photographers and enthusiasts of all skill levels. The Equo Equine Photo Award 2025 celebrates the diverse world of equine photography, showcasing unique perspectives and creative approaches.

Believing that equine photography deserves its own spotlight in the world of photo awards, we have created five inspiring categories capturing moments from the human-horse bond to sporting scenes, traditions, culture, and the artistic side of photography. Our goal is to elevate the recognition of equine photography and provide valuable opportunities for photographers at any stage of their creative journey.

Join us in celebrating the exceptional artistry of equine photography!
